Haider Ali Mir is a composer who specializes in music for film and visual media. His blend of Mexican, Pakistani, and American roots inspires versatility in his music, and he brings an emotional intensity to his work through intimate instrumentation and carefully crafted tonal palettes.
With a passion for arranging harmony and musical narratives, Haider Ali discovered his love for film scoring. He began apprenticing with the team at Sacred Tiger Studios, where he gained invaluable resources and knowledge. This experience allowed him to branch out and collaborate with up-and-coming directors.
His subsequent work has reached notable film festivals and streaming platforms, such as the short film For Rosa, which streamed on HBO and won the Best Musical Score award at the 2021 Next Generation Indie Film Awards.
Most recently, Haider Ali scored Miles Away (2025), a feature film written and directed by Jackie Quinones and co-starring Luis Guzmán, which had its World Premiere at the Austin Film Festival 2025 and continues doing the festival rounds.
His work can also be heard in We Ride For Her (SXSW 2024), Midnight Ruin, Esmerelda, Launch Fever, and more.
